India beat Australia by 5 Wickets - 24 March 2011

Australia vs India, ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 Second Quarter Final, 24.3.2011. India has defeated Australia in the second quarter final of the Cricket World Cup 2011 and have secured their position for the semi finals against Pakistan. Australia won the toss and elected to bat first. It was a good decision by skipper Ricky Ponting as they scored 260 runs in 50 overs. Rickey Ponting played fantastic and scored 104 runs in 118 balls. Along with Ponting, Brad Haddin also scored his fifty for Australia. It was a decent target but Australia coudn't stand against Indian batting side as Sachin Tendulkar, Ghambir and Y.Sigh each competed their half century. S.Tendulkar scored his 94th ODI and 14th WC fifty, Gambhir scored his 24th and 3rd WC fifty, Y.Singh scored his49th ODI and 7th WC fifty. Congratulations to India and Good Luck to both India and Pakistan for the Semi Finals. May the best team win.
