English Premier League Weekend Preview

Manchester United are currently at top of the table with 3 points ahead of Arsenal. Although, they have played one game more than the Gunners but Red Devils are the team which looks like winning the record breaking 19th premier league title. They face Bolton today with Sir Alex Ferguson sitting in the stands as the legendary United manager was handed a 5 match ban by the FA over his criticism of referee Martin Atkinson. Red Devils are currently suffering from defensive crisis as Nemanja Vidic suffering from a calf problem is set to miss this weekend matches while they have been dealt a serious blow as reports suggest that Rio Ferdinand is set to miss the remainder of the season.

John O Shea and Rafael Da Silva have also suffered knocks which will rule them out of the game against Bolton. So United will be forced to make a make shift back four. Bolton who are high in morale will be targeting a shock win as United have been exploited in defence area and the combination of Kevin Davies and Johan Elmander may prove to be too much for the United defence.

West Brom have been in fine form of late and they welcome Arsenal at the right time as Gunners have been suffering from worst form of their season. A disastrous run of results have seen their dreams of securing a silverware at the end of the season being ended while gunners now have the tough task of securing premier league title with United currently leading Arsenal by three points.

Tottenham and West Ham play are set to play a tough derby game as their rivalry will be increased especially the Hammers were given the green signal to take over the rights of Olympic stadium. It could be a decisive match for West Ham as well because they can take a huge step towards safety if they are able to win against their big rivals.

This round of fixtures could decide the fate of many teams in the premier league as Aston Villa play Wolves while Blackburn and Blackpool also play an important match from relegation point of view. Stoke welcome Newcastle United at Britannia stadium. Wigan Athletic play against Birmingham City which will be the biggest match in the relegation dogfight. Everton play Fulham at Goodison park to consolidate their top half position..
