Sony remains the target of hackers, Sony Pictures Hacked

Yesterday, The PlayStation Store was back online after six weeks of security breach that hackers obtained information for more than 77 million PlayStation Network and Qriocity accounts, as well as an additional 24.6 million Sony Online Entertainment accounts. But the reports have come today that Sony is still the target of hackers, today hacker group LulzSec hacked into Sony Pictures that has compromised more than 1 million people's personal information, including passwords, email addresses, home addresses, dates of birth, and all Sony opt-in data associated with their accounts. According to the statement at  LulzSec's website
"Enclosed you will find various collections of data stolen from internal Sony networks and websites, all of which we accessed easily and without the need for outside support or money," the statement read. "We recently broke into SonyPictures.com and compromised over 1,000,000 users' personal information, including passwords, e-mail addresses, home addresses, dates of birth, and all Sony opt-in data associated with their accounts."
"Among other things, we also compromised all admin details of Sony Pictures (including passwords) along with 75,000 'music codes' and 3.5 million 'music coupons,'" the statemen continued. "Due to a lack of resource on our part (The Lulz Boat needs additional funding!) we were unable to fully copy all of this information, however we have samples for you in our files to prove its authenticity. In theory we could have taken every last bit of information, but it would have taken several more weeks."
The hacker group went on to say that the aim of its attack wasn't to build its own reputation. Rather, it hopes that this latest attack will "embarrass" the multinational mega-corporation.

The PlayStation Store is now back online

PlayStation Store director, Grace Chen, made an announcement on Wednesday, June the 1st, via PS Blog that PlayStation Store is finally back online after six weeks of downtime which was due to the imfamous data breach by some hacker. Chen said
"The PlayStation Store is back online and thank you everyone for your patience," she said. "You will notice a huge lineup of new downloadable games, demos, add-on content, themes, avatars and videos. Also, PlayStation Plus has been updated with new full game trials, free games and DLC, free avatars and even more discounts."
You can visit The PlayStation Blog to see the full list of backlogged content which is now available. It includes such PS3 downloadable titles as Wizardry: Labyrinth Of Lost Souls ($14.99) and the exclusive Under Siege ($19.99). The TurboGrafx-16 rereleases Alien Crush and Bonks Adventure ($5.99) are also now on sale.

One thing that isn't yet available are the games Sony is giving away free under its Welcome Back program.
"You may have noticed that the content promised as part of the Welcome Back offer is not yet live," said Chen. "It is currently in the final stages of testing and will be available to download soon; we'll be sure to let you know when."

Sony Server hacked to host a website for phishing scam

Report has come that a Sony server has been hacked to host a website for an alleged phishing scam targeting an Italian credit card company and its users, according to the web security firm F-Secure.This is what they wrote in a blog post on this hack.
"We know you're not supposed to kick somebody when they're already down ... but we just found a live phishing site running on one of Sony's servers."

But it has also been reported that this security breach does not relate with the attacks that were responsible for the PSN shutdown that resulted the theft of personal data for more than 90 million customers.

Howard Stringer[Sony Chief Executive]apologized for the attacks, which resulted in the PlayStation Network and Qriocity being shut down on April 20, with a partial return on May 14, 2011. However many parts of the PlayStation Network, such as the PlayStation Store, still aren't fully up and running as they were before.

The Web server used to host the phishing site is normally used to host Sony's Thai site, F-Secure said, adding that it believes that the hack only affected a server that has no access to Sony customer's personal information.

F-Secure said it has notified Sony of the attack, later blocking the URL for the phishing site. Sony officials were unavailable for comment on the matter on Friday morning. Also, Sony PSN is expected to return on May 24, 2011.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 coming this 8th November, 2011

There had been a lot of rumors of Modern Warfare 3 for weeks and now a report on Kotaku says that modern Warfare 3 will be released on Tuesday, November 8, 2011 for undisclosed platforms, though the PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 are likely suspects.
Report says that the single-player campaign of the game will be divided among several characters, including a British SAS Operative, AC-130 gunship gunner, a tank driver, and a member of the Russian Federal Security Service, known by its acronym of the FSB. Also, the game would begin  just where Modern Warfare 2 ended where United States faced a surprise attack from Russia. It is also being heard that Osama Bin Laden will be included in the game.Obviously Infinity Ward didn't go into details as to how accurate this information was, though Robert Bowling Infinity Wards creative strategist did make mention of the leak on his Twitter account.
A lot of hype & a lot of leaked info on #MW3, some still accurate, some not. To avoid spoiling the experience, Id wait for the real reveal.
As Call of duty has always been the best hit in multilayer gaming, Modern Warfare 3 will offer variety of new maps and for sure, some new game modes to make Modern warfare online hit all the way.

Hitman 5 Absolution confirmed for PC, PS3, Xbox 360 [Teaser Trailer]

Finally something more to hear about Hitman 5 after a very long time. Yes, Agent 47 is back in Hitman Absolution. Developer Io Interactive and Square Enix Europe officially announced that Hitman Absolution is indeed in development for the PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360. The announcement did not offer a release window for the title but did say it had been built from the ground up using Io's proprietary Glacier 2 engine. The game will be shown off behind closed doors at next month's Electronic Entertainment Expo. Here is the 24 second teaser trailer for Hitman Absolution
Hitman Absolution will be the first entry in the series since 2006's Hitman: Blood Money, which saw 47 bring silent death to locales ranging from mid-Mardi Gras New Orleans to the White House. The series follows the murderous exploits of Agent 47, a bald killer genetically engineered to be the perfect assassin. Hitman: Codename 47 (2000) told the tale of how the protagonist found work with the International Contract Agency (ICA) whacking high-profile criminals. In Hitman 2: Silent Assassin (2002), 47 is pulled out of retirement after his priest friend is kidnapped by the Sicilian Mafia. In Hitman: Contracts (2004), he revisits many missions from the original game, albeit in reverse.

Call Of Duty 8 - Modern warfare 3

After the release of Call of Duty: Black OPS, we already know that there will be a Call of Duty 8 and a completely new Call of Duty Action Adventure in 2011. A new Activision studio, Sledgehammer Games, will be responsible for the new Call of Duty Action Adventure. So, Call of Duty 8 is confirmed to be released in 2011. After some internal conflicts with Infinity Ward, a new business unit has been formed that will continue to develop release one Call of Duty part each year.
Call of duty 8
Activision also confirmed that they have plans to make a Call of Duty action-adventure and that they might be going into a new direction with the Call of Duty franchise. The company is also for the first time announcing that a new game in the Call of Duty series is expected to be released in 2011 and that Sledgehammer Games, a newly formed, wholly owned studio, is in development on a Call of Duty game that will extend the franchise into the action-adventure genre. And it is rumored that it will be named Modern Warfare 3. It promises to be extremely realistic like no other game has ever achieve. Not only will it provide beautiful jaw-dropping graphics, it will also allow players to experience the true realistic life of a soldier.

This could be good or bad. EA tried to add new elements of other genres to Command & Conquer 4 and failed badly, but were talking about a completely new Call of Duty game here! There will be Call of Duty 8 AND Call of Duty AA (Action Adventure).

Spider Man: Edge of Time for Xbox 360, PS3, DS and WII

Following the success of last year's Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions, Activision crowned Canadian developer Beenox as the primary developer on future titles featuring the Marvel Comics icon. The first game to be primed for release following the developer's "lead spider developer" status is the recently announced Spider-Man: Edge of Time. While the game isn't a direct sequel to Shattered Dimensions, it shares its predecessors multi-Spidey vibe, albeit with a new twist. Whereas Shattered Dimensions offered an action adventure ensemble, Edge of Time changes the formula by putting a buddy-cop-movie twist on the action and throwing in some time travel for good measure.
